touch to discuss the type of course that you would like and the level
to which it needs to be pitched. Courses are usually created to meet
the needs of specific groups. The following selection can be adapted
to be day courses or longer, but for day courses the emphasis will
be MAINLY ON DESIGN and how to develop ideas from the source. Fabric
and stitch techniques will be mentioned but will be reserved for
longer courses as time is limited on a day course. |

| Inspired by Monet |
Create your own masterpiece inspired by the colours and textures
seen in Monet’s paintings. Techniques will include working
with coloured fabrics and threads combined with the use of bondaweb,
foils and transparent fabrics with hand and/or machine embroidery.

paying particular attention to his use of line, spirals, patterns
and colour. You will create your own masterpiece developed from
your immediate responses, using layering, slashing, and appliqué.

| A challenging course which introduces students to working with
pencil and charcoal to create tonal drawings. The course will help
develop student’s confidence in basic drawing skills. |

| Layering with Sheer Fabrics |
Students will make a small hanging or panel developed from layering
techniques to include cutting, slashing and folding. Pattern will
be used as the design source. Students will be introduced to making
simple tassels and cords by hand and machine.
