I love drawing and painting and will often work through both processes to help inform my own textile work. Drawing is a very important part of my personal development and it is also extremely pleasurable. I will try and spent one full day a week drawing and time in between if possible. Drawing not only helps me to get to know my subject more intimately, but it also helps in the development of my work. I am extremely lucky to have a truly remarkable art teacher with whom I study one day a week.

Cecily Sash is a well-established artist from South Africa, who has helped me discover and improve my drawing techniques. The following are examples of some of the drawings and paintings that I have completed under her instruction as well others which I have done independently.
