All Strung Up

I responded immediately to the innards of the harpsichord, linked, undoubtedly, to the theme of music and dance, which has inspired my work for some time. Strumming fingers gently across the strings creates an incredible sound. Contrasting the hard linear qualities of the instrument with the softness of the music were the aspects I pursued in this piece. By circling 'All Strung Up' you will see different images appearing and disappearing against each of the concertina'd surfaces, similar to the movement of music. Move slowly around and imagine the sweet sound of a harpsichord.
