Purple Haze

By focussing on line as a design element and allowing the pencil to move for you, is a very liberating way of working and has resulted in a series of drawings and paintings for interpretation into textiles. A limited colour palette and three-dimensional effects remain important in my work. Hand dyed natural scoured cotton, pieced, applied bonded designs, additional colour and three-dimensional effects added with Litho coal, heavily machine quilted with Armo fleece wadding. Bound edges.
