August 2011
This still isn't going to be the longer newsletter that I promised...........hope
you forgive me, but I seem to be chasing my tail. It is no good having
a holiday is it, as the mountain of work is still there when you return.
But I must say I did have a brilliant time with lots of fun and laughter
which is never a bad thing. The previous week at Harper Adams was also
fabulous and I will be posting some images very soon of the great work
carried out by my group.
Anyway this very brief newsletter is just to remind you about:
JEAN LITTLEJOHN ~ LECTURE ~ 1st September
The Marches Branch of the Embroiderers Guild
Community College, Bishops Castle, Shropshire.
Also to say that if anyone is at a loose end next week, PLEASE PLEASE
come to the studio and partake in what will now be a two-day painting
summer school with PAUL PRIESTLEY, rather than 3 days as originally
planned.
Details as follows:
Paul Priestley Summer School ~ 16th and 17th August. £100
for 2 days
Weather permitting students will be outside painting life as we see
it, exploring the wonderful Shropshire scenery around Moor Hall Studio.
Paul will demonstrate both traditional and more Impressionistic ways
of recording the landscape in paint. There will be lots of drawing and
painting demonstrations and lots of opportunities to explore your own
ideas with Paul on hand to give advice and help. I would highly recommend
this course. I hope that these pictures of Moor Hall garden and surrounds
will whet your appetite.
Paul is a brilliant teacher and I have never heard students go away
unhappy with their results. Please phone for further details or if you
wish to discuss this course.

Will be back in touch soon.
