 EXHIBITION OF STUDENTS WORK
Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre
2nd August ~ 5th September

This is a long awaited exhibition of my students art work. I am thrilled with their results ~ somehow when work gets framed and goes up on the wall it takes on a new life. For many of these students this will be their first exhibiting experience so it would be lovely if you were able to pop by to see their work. It is mainly drawings and some paintings, and here is a little taste of the type of work.

I loved this students colour palette, quite different from the others.

Pattern Cutting for Womens Wear

An exciting and challenging course which explores the basics of pattern cutting for womens clothes. The course is aimed at the enthusiastic dressmaker, teachers and students of design and anyone in fact who wish to cut and construct clothes with a perfect fit.


Exhibition of work by 'Edge' Textile Artists 

The group in the forefront of Scottish Textiles 'EDGE' had a new exhibition earlier this month and I am sorry I did not get this news out to you in time.  However you can visit their website or follow them on Facebook to find out more about them. I hear the show was excellent.

'DRAWING THE LINE'
10th to 13th March 2017

Thinking ahead now to 2017, I will be teaching for the first time down in Eastbourne, so I hope that those of you who say I am too far away in Shropshire will come to work with me at Studio11. This is the studio of amazing Christine Chester, who runs such exciting courses and Retreats. I feel privileged to be invited there.

FINALLY

A beautiful Quilt made by the Dulwich Quilters is being raffled in aid of the charity that I run and if you know I am going to be in your area I can arrange to bring some raffle tickets along. This is such a wonderful gesture and I am thrilled that Hands up for Uganda is being supported in this way.  If closer to Dulwich tickets can be bought by emailing Brenda Frerns
