Moor Hall is a four hundred year old farmhouse, of great historical
interest being the second hunting lodge from Clun Castle. It is set
in an area of outstanding natural beauty, making it an excellent
place for creative courses as well as for walking and cycling, drawing
and photography.

Directions from Craven Arms and Clun:
Take the B4368 to Newcastle on Clun. Pass the Crown Inn on your right
and follow the road around to the left signposted Anchor. Take
the first turning on left signposted Bettws-y-Crwyn. Pass the farm
on right and follow the lane, which turns sharply to the right
and travel on up the hill. We are the 3rd house on the left past
farm buildings. Look out for sign for ‘Moor Hall Studio’.
Directions from Newtown:
Take the A489 from Newtown. About 1 mile pass Kerry take B4368 on
right towards Clun. Follow signs to Anchor and then Newcastle.
About 3/4 mile before Newcastle turn right signposted Bettws-y-Crwyn.
Pass the farm on right and follow the lane, which turns sharply
to the right and travel on up the hill. We are the 3rd house on
the left past farm buildings. Look out for sign for ‘Moor
Hall Studio’.
Workshops are based at my home, Moor Hall in
South Shropshire. The sessions run from 10am to 4pm. You can arrive
from 9.30 for refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch. The
studio space can be used after 4pm (untutored) if available, and
the gardens can be explored afterwards too.
