ART VAN GO

Last week I ran a two day workshop at Art Van Go in Knebworth. I had a cracking group of students, some new and some already familiar with Art Van Go. I would like to thank them all for rising to the challenges I set. Here are their results.

This first 10 minute exercise set the scene and showed me what each student was capable of from the outset. We were going to repeat this exercise at the end of the course, based on all that I taught them, but unfortunately time ran out.

This next exercise introduced students to tone and space in a drawing.

We then looked at how form can be created and spend time drawing ellipses before embarking on this project.

...........introducing colour with pastels

...........and finally a fun activity with wax crayons and inks

I thought the group did brilliantly and hope you agree.
If you have enjoyed seeing this work do read on.
MOOR ART 1 and MOOR ART 2

I have spaces on both these courses and we are just ready to start a new project on 'line.' Please get in touch if you wish to be considered for either of these courses.

Moor Art 1 ~ Alternative Wednesday
18th April, 2nd and 16th May, 13th and 27th June, 11th July

Moor Art 2 ~ Weekends monthly
21st and 22nd April, 19th and 20th May,16th and 17th June

"A line is a mark or stroke, long in proportion to its breadth, made with a pen, pencil, or tool, onto a surface."
This course will have students examining both the simplicity and complexity of 'line' as an inspirational source, by using a variety of 'drawing' tools and mixed media surfaces. Students will quickly build up inspirational ideas and design possibilities, for personal further development with a rtist research offering further insights into the development of these ideas.

£210 for 6 sessions ~ STARTING THIS WEEK
