Ecoprinting is an exciting technique where you extract colour from leaves and fix it to fabric and paper using a steaming process.

Day 1

On the first day you will learn about the mordants used to make the prints light and wash fast and look at the different colours and effects from a range of foliage. During the day you will print on paper, cotton and a narrow silk scarf.

Day 2

We will introduce a dye blanket , logwood, to the ecoprinting technique. Logwood gives a lovely dark blue colour. You will learn how to use the logwood to give a blue background to your ecoprints on paper and fabric.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be a £10 material fee which will include the following that will be provided for the successful running of the course.
