Piecing, Patching and Pockets

Using neutrals with an emphasis on extreme contrasts of cloth qualities we will work through both traditional and contemporary ways to join, layer, inlay, trap and patch.

Amanda’s signature techniques are delivered alongside some inspiration ideas for you to develop in your own way. You will be indulgently hand stitching through three days allowing work to develop organically both in two and three dimensions depending on the choices you make.

The workshop is about the process of making, the decisions we make along the way as we select, discard and enjoy. 

You will return home with many starting points as well as ideas to develop in your own studio.
